Canon announces four new compact PowerShot digital cameras. The 14.1-Megapixel SX210 IS features a 28mm wide-angle lens with 14x Optical Zoom and Optical Image Stabilization. The SX210 will be available in late March for $349.99. The 14.1-Megapixel SD3500 (IXUS 210) features 5x Optical Zoom and a 3.5-inch wide LCD touch screen. The SD3500 is scheduled to be available in later this month for $329.99. The new SD1400 IS and SD1300 IS (IXUS 105 and 130) will then be available too for $249.99 and $199.99 resp….

Canon announces the EOS Rebel T2i / 550D digital SLR camera equipped with a newly developed 18 Megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor. The camera includes a variety of new features, including: 3.7 fps shooting, an ISO range of 100-6400, a 63-zone Dual Layer Metering System, and DIGIC 4 Imaging Processor. Furthermore it offers Full HD 1080p video with manual exposure, selectable frame rates and a new external microphone input. While going once more over the avalanche of new cameras so far this year, I realized that I missed another member of the colorful Olympus FE-family; the model FE-4020. Sanyo introduces three new Dual digital cameras, the VPC-GH2, VPC-CG102, and VPC-CG20, all featuring Full High Definition 1080 60i (1920×1080) video and up to 14 Mp photo capability. Hasselblad launches the H4D-40, the most recent addition to the H4D medium format camera line. The camera, which features a 33×44 mm CCD sensor with 40 million pixels and provides almost twice the capture area of the largest 35mm DSLR sensors, is targeted towards high-end 35mm professionals. Varioptic has developed a new version of the liquid lens, with a multi-electrodes design, allowing tilting the light in all directions of space and, at the same time, to refocus the light. This new A316S liquid lens brings Optical Image Stabilization functionality to mobile phones. With no moving parts, the new liquid lens A316S is very robust and uses very limited power (less than 50mW during a shot). Sanyo introduces the new Xacti DMX-CG110 Dual Camera that captures both 1920 x 1080 pixel Full HD videos and 14 megapixel still photos. Pentax announces 3 new digital cameras; most distinctive is the Optio I-10 with a design inspired by classic SLR cameras.
