I like the overall idea of both pics, especially the sunset. Here are some of my suggestions:
Pic #1:
-The top of the lip is blown out (possible post processing trick would be to use the “burn” tool to reduce its appearance)
-The person in the white shirt in the background is quite distracting. (In PP this can be taken out using the clone tool)
Pic #2:
-I am not sure if I would take out the stadium lights?
-I think the picture could benefit from a slightly tighter crop.
-Clone out the white stickers on the ramp
yah i know its SOOOOOO blown out on number 1. but i forgot to turn my other flash off, i didnt want two, and it wasnt even pointing at anything other than the lip haha. oh well..
After looking at pic #2 more, I am starting to like it. Anyway, about blown pics I have personally been relying more and more on the histogram readout to check if its within bounds and even shoot a little bit underexposed to keep the detail and also shooting with RAW will allow for any necesary PP exposure tweaks.
